Argyres-Douglas theories: Conformal manifolds and 3d mirror theories
Noppadol Mekareeya (Milano)
Abstract: Argyres-Douglas (AD) theories constitute an infinite class of 4d N=2 superconformal field theories with a number of interesting properties. A distinctive feature of these theories is the presence of Coulomb branch operators of fractional dimension. In this talk, we discuss several new aspects of such theories, including their conformal manifolds, structures of the Higgs branch, as well as the 3d gauge theories that arise from dimensional reduction on a circle. As a by-product of the latter, we present a number of dualities between 3d N=4 gauge theories coming from the reduction of AD theories that belong to different classes but are equivalent to each other.
